SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Charles A. Welch Lodge A.F. & A.M.

The Charles A. Welch Masonic Lodge A.F and A.M. from Maynard Massachusetts awards two scholarships per year of five hundred dollars each to graduates of local high schools; Maynard, Acton, Boxborough; Stow, or Sudbury. These scholarships may be used at any college, university, junior college, vocational, trade or technical school of your choice. They are available for use for any educational expense that is payable through the school (i.e.-books, tuition, dorm room, meals, student union fees, etc.). Scholarships are not limited to graduating seniors, but, applicants must be a graduate of one of our local high schools. These scholarships must be reapplied for each year. You may pick up an application at the office of your High School Counselor. Applications must be returned to the high school counselors’ office no later than February 1 2009 to be considered.

Note:

Please write and attach a statement giving any information that you feel will assist the committee in selecting those to receive the scholarships. The scholarship is awarded on need and merit. Ambition and accumulated GPA is also a consideration. Winning applicants will be contacted by the CAW scholarship committee at date TBD.

Include a detailed statement of your future plans and goals for continuing your education.
Please include reasons why you feel that you are the one most qualified to receive this scholarship.
Include all honors and achievements received, and activities you have participated in and outside of school. :
Recipients of the must attend a dinner in their honor in order to receive their scholarship award. (includes parent/guardian)
Attach an official copy or your High School transcripts or current College transcripts.
Bursas receipt or proof of acceptance
